Last year, I joined the workshops held by the HC2015. The two workshops were awesome and they left a very strong impression in my mind. In those two workshops, I, as a freshmen, could feel the positive attitude of the HC students and they really left me a good impression of the Honours College. So, this year when I learned that we have to organize a workshop, I started to think: can we do as good as they did?
After the S.E.R.V.E. workshop, I found out the answer, and it is "yes". Though I didn't receive any detailed feedback from the year one participants, I could see that they were enjoying the workshop. Everyone of HC2016 were paying extra effort trying to accommodate the year one students and let them feel our passion and energy, with the wish to leave them a good impression, and I think we did it - because I was also magnetized by the strong field of positiveness from all of us!

Being a mentor for the year one students, I reached out to know more about them and assisted them in the games and tasks in the workshop. Some of them were quite cheerful and talkative, and some of them seemed a bit shy, but in general they were all very brilliant students and made very good candidates for the new batch of HC students! Thus in the session when we needed to write notes to the group members, I wrote to each of the them, thanking them for participating in the workshop and wishing they could make it into the Honours College. Hope to see them soon! :)
I think the year one students were not the only ones who gained something from this workshop, but also our class too. After such cooperation, we became more familiar with each other and turned out to be more united. The night before the workshop, despite the late time, most of us showed up to work the games out. From this I could see that HC students are really a group of highly dedicated people, and it is a great pleasure to work with them. Genuine thanks to all the organizers of this workshop, especially Stephanie, Angela and Jack who took the lead to work out the rundown, which made everything proceeded smoother and easier; all the participants including the classmates who were from workshop II - because of you all, the workshop worked out successfully. Let us all keep up the good work and bring the spirit forth into the upcoming class activities as well!
Last but not least, I must say that I enjoyed this workshop and the experience of working with all of my classmates. Though we had a fairly short preparation and only a four-hour workshop, for me, every moment counts! I will surely treasure this amazing piece of memory by heart. ;)
